Early summer or still after spawning? Lake Kasumigaura

This time, my fishing trip to Lake Kasumigaura was to see if I could catch any big bass after the spawning season.

Rather than my expectations, the field condition out there was not as good as I had thought.

Since it was windy almost entire day, I decided to try fishing in some rivers running through the lake.

Kita-tone river, where I caught one bass and one blue gill

30cm-bass!

Blue gill... but nice fight anyway...

moving to maekawa river

another 35 cm-bass!!

The results of my fishing trip this time were to get two basses and one blue gill. It seemed that they are still in the middle of recovering from spawning, and it was not easy to make them have my lures...

Fishing in Arakawa-river, Spring 2013

Last weekend, my fishing trip headed to Arakawa-river area to see if I could expect to get any good fish.

Since the spawning season seems to be almost over in the area, no wonder my expectation to catch after-spawned bass was extremely high!!

The results were... I got several bites from bluegills, but not from basses...

Before the sunset around 18 o’clock, I finally caught a baby bass...(a picture below)

I saw some big basses schooling in the water, which I could have a high hope for getting any big one next time.

Lake Kitaura

Lake Kitaura is located right next to Lake Kasumigaura, and among the largest bass-fishing fields here in the Kanto area, Japan.

Since the spawning season seems to come to the end, I went fishing in the area to check whether or not I could catch any after-spawned bass.

I had very much tough time to catch fish coz I got no information on how the fishing area would be; the results were only several bites, and two large-mouth basses(pictures below).

40cm! After-spawned bass!

43cm! caught just before the sunset!

Spring season 2013 in Saitama Prefecture!!

Last Sunday, it was such a good weather to go out for bass-fishing that I couldn’t help grabbing tackles even after hard work on the past weekdays.

This time, where I went was a small pond in Saitama Prefecture, called “Shibayama pond”. “Sibayama pond” is located in the northeast region of Saitama Prefecture. It is originally used as agricultural water supply around the area. It’s small but has considerable variation of its land features.

Shibayama pond
I have been here several times for fishing in this pond and caught nothing..., had tough time so far. But, not this time, some miracles??? happened and caught one!!.

30cm, average size in this pond

Spring-fishing season has just come!!

It has been a long time since I got the last fish in the past autumn.
I went bass-fishing in Lake Kasumigaura several times during the late autumn and winter, and got no fish・・・

I had a day-off last Monday, which means I have a chance to go fishing to see if I could get spring-basses in the fishing area.

I went here and there in the area, mostly around the main lake of Kasumigaura to try to catch one; finally, I got the first fish in this fishing season!!(pictures are blow)

35cm-bass!! a good one!!

in winter...and DAIWA PIXY68L

Long time no blogging!!!
This winter season, I haven’t had a good time of fishing so far. However, since spring is just around the corner, I have to prepare for the coming fishing season!

I had my DAIWA PIXY68 overhauled the other day, and just got it back from DAIWA-factory yesterday.

I got DAIWA finesse spool for PIXY(the picture above), it works well; I can even cast small, light-weighted lures very easily and smoothly by using PIXY68 with a finesse spool.

“LITTLE MAX” produced by EVERGREEN
This is a metal-made lure, called “metal vibration” in Japan, which is a kind of “winter- must” lure in Japanese fields.
